Mahama to Begin Two-Day Working Visit to Ahafo Region

President John Dramani Mahama will embark on a two-day working visit to the Ahafo Region today as part of his Resetting Ghana Tour.
The visit will enable the President to inspect ongoing development projects, receive updates on their progress, and interact with residents in Goaso on government policies aimed at boosting economic growth in the region.
Among the projects scheduled for inspection is a poultry, meat and feed processing facility in Bechem in the Tano South Municipality. The President will also visit the Tepa–Goaso Road project, which is being undertaken under the government’s Big Push Programme, as well as the Ntontroso Bridge linking Acherensua, a major food-producing area in the region.
President Mahama will be accompanied by the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku; Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Agbodza; Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare; and Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mahama Ayariga.
The delegation will also include Ahafo Regional Minister Charity Gardiner and other government officials.
The tour will end on Saturday with a town hall meeting dubbed “#ResettingGhana Citizens Engagement with President Mahama” at the Victory Centre Assemblies of God Church in Goaso.
The engagement is expected to bring together local chiefs, residents and government representatives to discuss development projects in the region, gather feedback on national policies and address concerns raised by community members.
