Former Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Chief Executive and current New Patriotic Party First Vice Chairmanship aspirant, Sam Pyne, along with members of his campaign team, narrowly escaped serious injury after their vehicle was involved in a road accident near Hain in the Upper West Region.
The incident occurred on Sunday, September 27, 2026, while the politician and his team were traveling along the stretch between Jirapa and Tumu as part of a campaign tour through the northern territory.
According to preliminary reports from the scene, the driver lost control of the vehicle while navigating a sharp bend, causing it to veer off the main highway and skid into a nearby wooded area.
Upon receiving news of the crash, NPP regional executives and local emergency responders rushed to the scene to assist the trapped occupants. Despite the impact of the crash, Sam Pyne and his campaign entourage managed to escape without suffering major injuries.
Following preliminary medical evaluations and assistance from party officials in the region, the campaign team confirmed that everyone involved remains in good spirits as they assess the vehicle’s damage and decide on the next steps for their regional tour.
