Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Nana Brew-Butler believes Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has shown signs of improvement and should be given more time to continue his work with the national team.
Nana Brew-Butler said the Portuguese coach made positive strides despite having limited time to prepare the team before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to him, Queiroz’s experience and approach have brought some improvement to the Black Stars, making a strong case for his retention as head coach.
“Although Carlos Queiroz did not have enough time to prepare the team, we still saw signs of improvement. I believe he deserves the chance to continue,” he said.
Queiroz was appointed as Ghana’s head coach in April following the exit of Otto Addo and was handed the responsibility of leading the Black Stars through their World Cup campaign.
With discussions ongoing over the coach’s future, Nana Brew-Butler believes maintaining stability on the technical bench could help Ghana continue its rebuilding process and prepare better for upcoming competitions.
