The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a four-day planned maintenance exercise that will result in temporary power outages in parts of the Accra East Region.
The exercise begins today, Monday, August 10, and will continue through Thursday, August 13, with power interruptions scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
According to ECG, the maintenance works are intended to improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply in the affected communities.
On Monday, August 10, areas to be affected include Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Twumasiwaa Hospital, Ability and surrounding areas.
On Tuesday, August 11, the outage will affect Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction and surrounding communities.
The Wednesday, August 12 schedule covers parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina, Libya Quarters and surrounding areas.
The final phase on Thursday, August 13, will affect Achimota School and surrounding areas.
ECG has urged customers in the affected areas to take note of the schedule and make the necessary preparations ahead of the planned interruptions.
The power distributor has apologised for the inconvenience, explaining that the maintenance exercise is necessary to improve electricity service delivery and reliability.
