Sack GFA and let FIFA ban us for 2 years – Sam George

Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations Minister and Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nartey George, has mounted pressure on football authorities, calling for the immediate disbandment of the Black Stars and the dissolution of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) executive committee following a disappointing defeat to Gambia.
Reacting to the team’s latest slump on social media, the outspoken lawmaker insisted that piecemeal fixes and temporary managerial changes are no longer working to salvage the declining national team.
He argued that taking drastic measures even at the cost of severe international sanctions is the only viable route to rebuilding a competitive national squad.
Sam George stated that his position on the state of Ghanaian football remains firm, urging decision-makers to dismiss the GFA leadership and accept a temporary ban from the world football governing body, FIFA, to allow for a comprehensive restructuring of the sport in Ghana.
He emphasized that while a two-year FIFA suspension would be painful for fans and stakeholders, the current pattern of patchwork remedies is doing far greater long-term damage to the country’s footballing legacy.
His comments have reignited a fierce national debate among sports analysts and fans over the future direction and governance of the Black Stars.
