Bishop Victor Osei Reveals Divine Encounters That Led Him Into Ministry

Bishop Dr. Victor Osei has recounted the extraordinary experiences that led him into Christian ministry, revealing that becoming a minister was not part of his original ambitions.
Speaking in an interview on Beyond the Honours, Bishop Osei disclosed that he initially considered ministry a “boring vocation” and had no desire to pursue it. However, a series of life-changing experiences and what he described as divine encounters eventually convinced him to dedicate his life to Christ.
One of the defining moments occurred while he was a student at Wesley College of Education, where he was involved in an accident that nearly caused him to fall out of a moving vehicle.
According to him, he felt a “mighty hand” lift him and throw him back into the vehicle, an experience he interpreted as divine intervention that saved his life.
The bishop said the incident was followed by another significant moment when he received a letter from his senior brother, a lawyer and psychologist based in the United States.
He explained that the letter carried a powerful message, with his brother telling him that God intended to use him for a specific purpose.
Bishop Osei said these experiences, together with the hardships and personal struggles he had encountered earlier in life, gradually changed his perspective and compelled him to surrender his life to Christ.
His decision marked the beginning of his journey into ministry, despite his initial reservations about the vocation.
His testimony, shared on Beyond the Honours, highlights how personal experiences, difficult circumstances and spiritual convictions can shape an individual’s sense of purpose and influence major life decisions.
