Renowned Nigerian actor and film executive Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, widely known as Olu Jacobs, has passed away at the age of 84.
His son, Olusoji Jacobs, confirmed the news on Instagram on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, writing: “It is with gratitude to God for a life well lived and fought, that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and uncle. The Lion of Lufodo.”
The family statement identified him as Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs (MFR), noting his lifespan from July 11, 1942, to September 16, 2026. They also appealed to bloggers and social media users to respect their privacy during this period of mourning
