Our Domestic Airport Terminal Is More Efficient – Prof. Gyampo

Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), Prof. Ransford Gyampo, has commended the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) for significant efficiency upgrades at the domestic airport terminal, declaring it more streamlined than many international airports across the world.
In a recent social media reaction, Prof. Gyampo highlighted the seamless experience created by newly deployed advanced screening scanners at the domestic terminal.
He expressed satisfaction that travellers are no longer subjected to burdensome and invasive security procedures, such as taking out laptops, removing belts and shoes, or stripping down layers of clothing during routine checkpoints.
The praise follows the ongoing rollout of state-of-the-art security screening technology across terminals managed by GACL, aimed at strengthening aviation security while reducing waiting times for passengers.
Under the upgraded screening protocols, modern scanner systems allow electronic devices, liquids, and personal wear to remain in cabin luggage without compromising overall safety standards.
